We are beautifully located opposite the Cathedral in Ripon, close to Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales, in the heart of North Yorkshire.
The attractive terraced gardens with a backdrop of weeping willows, together with tables and parasols (weather permitting), are accessed through french doors from the garden room, adding to the charm of this historic but very stylish building, which is a truly unique and attractive venue for a very special occasion.

Exclusive use:
Exclusive use of the restaurant is available if you have 50 guests, to include the use of the whole of the ground floor, car park and gardens for the sum of £4500. This sum will give you a three course celebration menu plus coffee and chocolates, a reception drink of Pimms or cava or Bucks Fizz made with cava, for example; three pours of one of our house wines during the meal and a cava or prosecco toast. Any further guests will be charged at £60 per person. [For weekdays or Sundays, and winter months at the beginning of the year, exclusive use is often possible for fewer than 50 guests]. If you wish to spend a little more on the wines, we can quote you from our wine list.
Exclusive means you can tailor make your entertainment, with live or recorded music, easy access to the gardens and freedom to truly enjoy yourselves with your family and friends.
If you also decided to have food in the evening , prices would start at £6.50 per person for a bacon or sausage butty, for example, up to £15 per person for a cold home made picnic buffet and £20 per person for a home made hot buffet.
You do not have to take all the bedrooms, of which there are 10 doubles, but your guests may well enjoy having the complete Old Deanery experience.
Non-exclusive: Groups outside normal lunch or dinner times:
A wedding breakfast is £40 per person to include a delicious three course meal followed by either tea or coffee from our Celebrations menu. Prices for arrival drinks start at £5 per person, and wine is priced individually. Our wine list may be viewed online.
OR You may also join in one of our actual restaurant sittings at lunch or dinner when normal prices are used but we would need a pre-order for groups of ten or more.
Discuss your menu with our chef
Our chef has recommended the dishes shown in the menu selector, created with the finest local produce BUT he will be more than happy to discuss alternative menus tailored to your requirements.
We can accommodate around 56 people in our main restaurant on round tables, with an option to seat an extra 24 people in the adjoining room. In the evening we can welcome up to 150 for drinks, music and buffet -style after wedding parties.
Hold Your Wedding ceremony at The Deanery:
Since opening in June 2003, the hotel has become a popular venue for weddings and special occasions, to include civil ceremonies (£300 room hire), christenings, wedding blessings and traditional wedding celebrations.
