Why not plan a trip with a difference on a new cycle route that leads almost to our door, on its way from Morecambe Bay to Bridlington. The Way of The Roses takes you through glorious countryside and as it approaches Ripon, winds through the World Heritage site of Fountain’s Abbey, across our Market Square, and 1 minute’s cycling later you are riding into the gates of the hotel car park, right next to the Cathedral. Your bikes will be securely locked away and you can relax with a drink, a superb meal and a great welcome to one of our 10 double rooms (also available as singles). Ripon has a wealth of things to see and an excellent bike shop, Moonglu, just in case. Walkers are welcome too!

We are now serving full afternoon teas every day till 6pm in the secret garden, in the restaurant or in the courtyard, so close to the Cathedral you can hear the choir! From 2.30pm for the full experience of the afternoon 3 tier tea, but any other time for the cream tea, with a delicious pot of Madhatter tea, a large homemade scone, well, chef made, with his jam, and Brymor clotted cream. Of course we shall be there at the very first Ripon Cathedral Wedding Fair, to meet as many of you as possible on our stand in the Cathedral only a hundred yards from our own lovely mellow stone building, once home to the Deans of Ripon and now ready to welcome you for your wedding reception.
