Ecclesiastical Architecture

Ripon Cathedral has some fine examples of church architecture. It has four arches, two of which are rounded Norman style arches, the other two were re-constructed after collapsing and are therefore in the English Gothic Perpendicular style, which makes them slightly pointed.

Fountains Abbey has some good examples of church architecture, naturally there is the abbey itself, but also there is an anglican church called St. Mary's, which is a fine example of gothic architecture, designed by architect William Burges. There are also temples, towers and various other buildings located within the grounds that are worth taking a look at.
